Three Faculty Members Promoted

On February 24, 2023, three faculty members in the Department of Geological Sciences learned that they were promoted.
All three—Marc Hesse, Ashley Matheny, and Daniella Rempe—received congratulations and cheers from their academic colleagues during an annual faculty retreat.
- Computational geoscientist Marc Hess was promoted to Full Professor
- Ashley Matheny, who researches how plants move water in their environment, was promoted to Associate Professor
- Hydrologist Daniella Rempe, who recently received an NSF CAREER Award, was promoted to Associate Professor
