At the end of each year the editorial board of the society's journal CORAL REEFS votes on The Best Paper that was published in CORAL REEFS during the course of that year.

Nomination Process:
(1) a completed ISRS Awards Nomination Form (2) a one-page nomination letter (3) two letters of support from other current ISRS members (4) a CV of the nominee
